How a menu gets made

Three orders, one menu.

01

Photo or text

Take a photo of your menu (even a handwritten one) or paste the text from a Word file, a PDF or an email.

02

Pick a design

We suggest the ones that suit what you serve. Switch as often as you like and see your own dishes in each.

03

Off to the printer

A PDF in A4, Letter, booklet or tri-fold, or an image for social media and screens. No watermarks, no sign-up.

Smarter than a template

A menu that checks itself.

It isn’t a drag-and-drop box editor: it knows about menus, about food and about what the rules ask for. And it all runs in your browser.

Edit right on the menu

Tap a dish, a heading or the footer and change it right there. The menu rearranges itself, without jumping around while you type.

Actually reads your photo

Splits columns, matches each price to its dish and tidies up accents and ALL CAPS.

A scored review

Dishes with no price, unmarked allergens, missing notices, duplicates, supermarket-style prices… and one click fixes them.

Knows its food

Suggests appetising descriptions and translates classic dishes properly, not word for word.

Suggests a design

Looks at what you serve (seafood, pizza, wine, burgers…) and suggests the designs that suit it best.

Always fits

Adjusts type size, columns and spacing to fill the page without leaving half of it empty. And your restaurant’s name never gets cut off.

Pick a design

50 designs. None of them looks like a template.

Made for white paper, which is where real menus get printed. Each one changes the typefaces, the grid and the ornaments. Tap one and watch it change.

Formats

Not every menu is a sheet of A4.

Same menu, different ways to bring it to the table. Pick a format and everything rearranges itself.

A4 or Letter

210 × 297 mm · 8.5 × 11 in

The standard sheet. For a menu sleeve, a clipboard or a menu holder.

Slim A4

140 × 297 mm

Just as tall, but narrower. Easy to hold in one hand.

Booklet

A3 folded · A4 closed

With front and back covers. The pages come out already in order for double-sided printing.

Tri-fold

Landscape A4 in three

Front cover, back cover and four panels. For takeaway or the bar.

Two A5 per sheet

Print and cut

The daily menu twice on each sheet: half the paper, half the ink.

Social and screens

Post · story · 16:9

Post the daily menu on Instagram or put it on the TV in your venue.

Weekly menu

Landscape A4 · one day per column

The whole week on one sheet, for restaurants, school canteens or care homes.

Menu cards

DL card · three per sheet

The menu for a wedding, christening or party, long and narrow to stand on the table.

A3 poster

297 × 420 mm

Big, for the wall, the window or the stand by the door.

Daily menu

Today’s menu in two minutes. Tomorrow’s in one.

Your set lunch or daily specials change every day, but only the dishes should. The price, what’s included, your logo and the design stay saved.

  • The date fills itself in. Open the menu and it already shows today’s date.
  • Your regular dishes in two keystrokes. Start typing and it offers them, allergens included.
  • Previous days. Bring back last Tuesday’s menu with one tap.
  • Two per sheet. In A5 it prints twice on each sheet. Cut it in half and you’re done.
  • And on social. Download it as an image for Instagram or your WhatsApp status.
  • Or the whole week. With the weekly menu, one day per column on a landscape A4.

Allergens

The 14 allergens, without your menu looking like a medicine leaflet.

Mark them dish by dish and choose how they show: subtle icons in your menu’s colours, numbers with a key at the bottom, or written out. You can flag traces too.

And download the allergen matrix in A4: your dishes in rows, the 14 allergens in columns, with a review date and a signature.

Languages

Your menu in other languages, without the howlers.

Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Catalan. Section headings and classic dishes come from our culinary glossary, and the rest from your browser’s built-in translator, if it has one. You check it all by hand.

Download one menu per language, or a bilingual menu with the translation under each dish.

We remove the background and, if you like, turn it into a single ink colour.

At 300 dpi for the print shop, or as an image for social media and screens.

Your menu is yours.

No accounts, no cookies, no servers storing your prices. Your photo is read on your device and your menus live in your browser. To take them with you, download a backup in one click.

FAQ

What people usually ask.

How much does it cost?

Nothing. Make, save and download as many menus as you like, with no sign-up and no email address.

Where are my menus saved?

In your browser, on this device. There are no accounts and no servers holding your data. To move them to another computer, download a backup from “My menus” and restore it there.

What about the photo of my menu?

It’s read on your own device by a text reader that downloads the first time you use it. The image isn’t uploaded anywhere.

Can it read any photo?

It works best with a printed menu, shot straight on, in good light and without glare. You always see the text it read next to the photo, so you can correct it before the layout. If your menu is in Word or a PDF, paste the text: it’s instant.

Can I change prices tomorrow?

Of course. Open the menu, tap the dish and change the price. The design rearranges itself: columns, type size and page breaks.

Pounds, dollars or euros?

Any of them. In the editor you choose the currency symbol (£, $, € or another), whether it goes before or after the price, or no symbol at all.

Does it work out the allergens?

No. You know the allergens in each dish from your recipes and your suppliers. We suggest the likely ones from the dish name for you to check, but you mark them yourself.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. You can take the photo, tap dishes to edit them, change the design and download or share the daily menu, all from your phone.

What formats can I print?

A4, slim A4, landscape A4, A5, two A5 per sheet, A3 poster, US Letter, booklet, tri-fold, DL card, three DL cards per sheet. Plus images for Instagram, stories and the TV in your venue.
